It doesnt really do anything except of giving you the opportunity of insulting the colonists as stupid when they dont do what you want
avatar
@aisimian I don't think it does anything
avatar
@aisimain I don't think it does anything

how does IQ work?
avatar
@RussianShadow I made 5000 more workplaces, built 6 thousand more housing. There are still 45% unemployement, and 40% of the jobs are unfilled. I even have 35% homelessness somehow...
avatar
i recently started a new world and just realized that i need to build storage items for food and water, can you tell that i haven't needed to build storage buildings for a long time?
avatar
I have the same problem i have enough places to live and enough jobs nur neither of them are full
avatar
it looks like unemployed colonists are getting added to buildings' employee list without their status changing from "unemployed." When you open the list of employees for any given building there are almost always at least some that are marked "unemployed"
avatar
my unemployment levels keep fluctuating wildly without me building or destroying any structures or creating new colonists
avatar
@RussionShadow This behavior is a bug, not user error. Creating jobs does not decrease unemployment, at least not completely. The game is currently thinking there are fewer jobs available than there actually are. It's also not filling up residential structures. Tons of colonists are marked as "unemployed" despite most buildings having at least one slot open, many with over a hundred.
avatar
@TertiaryCake it would be nicer to actually help people who need it here than to only provide help if they join your NUF.
avatar
@Balint51 Usually creating new jobs decreases unemployment. Turning off Colonist Rendering also makes them, somehow, make decisions to work somewhere or live somewhere faster. SOmetimes it takes some time for Colonists to get a job.
avatar
Hey, I can't sell the subterranean housing on my biggest map.
avatar
I even tried building more houses, to bring in new colonists, hoping that it may solve the issue. It got up my homeless rate to 35% (I built I residental tower)
avatar
creating new jobs does nothing to reduce unemployment
avatar
@Balint51 I'm having the same issue. Can't figure out what's happening or what to do either
